indicator staying on

Hello,

Got a slight problem with my 1999 A4 TDi Avant. When I put the indicator on (left OR right), the little green light on the dash stays on constantly (until I cancel the indicator), and upon checking the outside of the car, the relevant light is on permanently too.

It happens about 1 in 4 times at the minute.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the flasher relay is faulty or has a bad earth, it could also be the hazard warning switch give that a try to see if it works. Evil or Very Mad
