I'm with Mike on this - I've turned off Faceache notifications for Audifans as I'm bombarded with them - don't want to read on there what I can read on here.
What's the point??? |

question:
how was the "autopost" feature to FB any different to somebody else posting a link to any other site manually??? (Nogsport, classic-audi, Audisrs, etc) ? Am curious..... (apart from the fb privacy potential issues)
As an aside- the fb bit picked something up (with my "help", obviously) that's been "there" for about.... six years! (RSS feeds, automated by the site, never used by many unless you use RSS feeds...)
Am curious, that's all.
It was over a week before you commented, Mike? Another thing I've "known"- users tend to use /check/ look at forums that specifically "interest" them- and miss loads of other stuff on the site that maybe relevant to them (Cabby owners and series 3/4 forums, for example)- the newsletter is a good example, as well as additional discounts available to them at no extra charge/ cost.....
Feedback welcome, as always |

Guess I can reply now as I've had time to think.
If I want to post on a forum, I post on the forum. I don't expect to see it appear anywhere else, least of all the worst website on the planet which I rarely if ever visit.
The only reason I did find out about this was because I received a message on said site.
It's a massive change to the terms of use on here. It wasn't exactly advertised and it was implemented with little or no discussion.
I know it's your site and you can do wtf you like but without users, this site will die. Piss off the users and they will piss off elsewhere. |

I understand where you are coming from, to an extent; it was used to help promote the site and content- at no point in time is user information available to Facebook (or anywhere else)- it's literally the same as linking the thread to another site, as mentioned.- People see it, are interested, click the link and it takes them straight into the forums (the same as search results in google do). What I didn't "twig" initially, was that it sent a notification to everyone that "liked" the facebook page- and in that respect, if it get's reinstated, it would be limited to once every 24 hours (probably)
Also, no changes to the documentation is needed?
